To keep it short: Nokia sells less and cheaper price.

Winter

@Simon
7.4M in Q2 is approximately 3.3% of a global market of ~224M

jj

It would be interesting to know how much of that 7.4M where WP8 and how much WP7 models.

Simon

@ Winter

Yeah, but that's ok amount after only 6 full quarters of Lumias. Q3 maybe 8,5-10M, we'll see. Q4 with christmas sales could be very interesting!

@ jj

Majority of the sold phones are on WP8. It can be seen clearly from AdDublex data for example:

jj

@Simon
3.3% might be OK for a new startup company. For former marget leader like Nokia it's just pathetic.

Simon

Again WP is gaining:
http://www.kantarworldpanel.com/global/News/news-articles/Record-share-for-Windows-phone

"The latest smartphone sales data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, for the three months to July 2013, shows Windows Phone has posted its highest ever level of 8.2% across the five major European markets*, emerging as a key player in the smartphone race."

Its such as you learn my mind! You appear to grasp a lot about this, like you wrote the ebook in it or something. I think that you simply could do with a few p.c. to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is magnificent blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
