Thank god for cameraphones, please spread story of abusive London Underground Man called "Ian"

Our dear friend JMac Jonathan MacDonald wrote a blog about Ian the abusive London Underground staff member. The story is alarming on many levels, the gist of the point is, that an elderly man had his arm caught by a mistake by the underground trains system, and rather than assist the elderly man, a Londn Underground representative "Ian" became abusive, and yelled and then cussed at the elderly man, threatening him with the police, and finally suggesting to throw the elederly man under the approaching train. Most of this was caught on video, which is on JMac's blog, you have to see it to believe it. 

No manner of work-related stress is any excuse for such behavior and this person, "Ian" deserves to be fired, and this story must be made a public outrage. I join JMac in spreading the story, and ask all of our readers who blog or twitter or discuss mattters on discussion groups etc, to raise this issue. It is a case of abuse by officials, caught on cameraphone and if justice is to be served, the elderly man must get an apology and "Ian" the London Underground man needs to be fired. Also the Mayor of London and the general manager of the London Underground need to make clear statements that this is not acceptable by the staff of the famous Tube, a London tourist attraction.

UPDATE MONDAY - There was a tremendous outcry to the story, the video was viewed tens of thousands of times, the twitterers and bloggers got into it, and at JMac's original posting there are over 600 comments. The story got picked up by major UK newspapers and TV news including the BBC and Sky. Ian the Tube worker has been suspended and the incident is under urgent investigation, and even the London Mayor has weighed in demanding urgent info on it. Thank you JMac for catching the story on video, and blogging about it. Jonathan has written a follow up which includes many links, headlines, etc.
