Jonathan MacDonald reviews our new book Social Media Marketing
At the centre of this is the importance of data. In case you are not aware of companies like Blyk and Xtract, this book goes deep under the covers of how information can be used to glue together the bedrock of engagement marketing.
For the advertising and marketing industry, the sections on ‘Social Media Marketing Metrics’ are unmissable. There is so much confusion on what to do with the new media world in which we live, yet here, fact after fact follows in this breath-taking journey.
So why not drop by Jonathan's site a read the rest of the review?
you may be aware of a proposed new metric named ‘Cost Per Relevant Audience’ or CPRA for short.
My personal opinion is that the years of ‘Audiences’ are now primarily found at sporting and entertainment events and that advertising and marketing works at its absolute finest, when an ‘audience’ is replaced with collaborators. Nevertheless, CPRA is perhaps the next obvious step to get there from here and, semantics aside, it is imperative that CPRA and related concepts are explored and implemented into methodology.
Thanks for the information.
