More cars, iPhones and now Formula One: BMW virtual F1 racing

So while we're on cars, another of our fave pair of companies, BMW and Artificial Life (ie the guys behind V-Girl the virtual girlfriend we discuss in Communities Dominate Brands) have teamed together. Story on CNBC. And yeah, if its about F1, Tomi's gotta blog about it, right...

BMW has already developed a BMW simulator for the iPhone with Artificial Life, around their Z4 car. But now they are working to release an F1 virtual driving game for the iPhone around the BMW Sauber F1 team, where the gamer can race with avatars of Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld, on F1 racetracks, against other (virtual) competitors.

The game is built to use the iPhone's motion sensors; and will also mix reality with virtual, so for example the real rain etc conditions of the real world at the given race track, will be reflected on the racing conditions in the virtual experience.

Cool. Hey, guys over at Artificial Life - if you want any playtesters for this game, I'm there for you ha-ha...

iPhone is something I have always loved to use on and when it's car racing then the chances gets double, doesn't matter whatever is there with it. I would be definitely playing this on my iPhone.
