This is now the third time for the one "can't miss" event of the year. For those who don't know, the Forum Oxford conference, on the future of mobile, has received the past two years unbelievably strong support from its audiences. Best event ever, is the type of comments, that CEO and MD level participants have called it.
So what is it? A one-day conference on the mobile industry, held at Oxford University on 24 April (with drinks get-together the night before) and the best topics, best speakers, best companies you would want to see and hear. So far for this year we have confirmed several people very familiar to readers of our blog - Mark Curtis, the CEO of Flirtomatic will speak. Ajit Jaokar, the co-author of Alan's newest book Social Media Marketing, will be there. Tony Fish who runs AMF ventures and for example has been quoted here on many areas such as digital footprints etc, will speak. We talk of SeeMeTV and other innovations with Three UK, well my friend Ed Candy the CTO of Three will be presenting. And the lineup is overloaded once again with authors and true experts such as Mark, Ajit, Tony each of the above is an author; but also William Webb of Ofcom and Martin Sauter, both multiple published authors. (And I'll be one of the chairs at the event). Last year we had Alan deliver the keynote, its that kind of event.
And best of all, this is an Oxford University conference, so it is very inexpensive. If you are flying in, Oxford is near Heathrow Airport, and Oxford hotels are far less expensive than London area hotels.
If you are not sure, please read my review from last year Review of Forum Oxford Conference 2008 and if that is not enough, here is my review of the first event: Communities Dominate Conferences
If you want to see more including the speaker lineup (which is still being added to), here is the information page with also pre-booking link.
So, please put 24 April on your calendar. I hope to see many of our readers there once again. This is the event for all interested in mobile.
