Yeah, its not easy building social networks and making it a success. Facebook is in trouble now with its users after it changed its rules about what happens to user-generated content after a user leaves Facebook. It is probably not a big problem for most users relating to their text based content, but what of the pictures.. There are lots of pretty - and often technically also excellent quality pictures. If the user departs Facebook but FB gets to keep all that content, how long until they start to sell it? And your precious private photo of your family smiling is suddenly in an advertisement by some random company.. CNN reports today that the Facebook revolt has already had 18,000 members leave FB in protest and that many blogs and discussion groups are abuzz about Facebook's troubles. Lets see how this plays out.
