This is great news. One of our fave companies, Xtract, is sponsoring a competition to find the best social marketing idea(s). So you don't have to have convinced your bosses to give you the budget to do the ultimate campaign, now you can get your idea out into the open and be recognized for it. Please hop over to
http://www.xtract.com/competition2008/
and see how to enter. The deadline is a month from now, so there is plenty of time. I know we have lots of creative people here reading our stuff, from die-hard techno-geeks, to the ultra-creatives, to the young and restless students and all kinds of interested readers. Please do join and lets swamp them with great ideas. Good luck.
Oh, the jury includes our Alan Moore (and Ajit Jaokar, CEO of Futuretext who published the Communities Dominate Brands book as well as my two books since then - himself obviously a big author of many books including Mobile Web 2.0; and my old Nokia pal, Jouko Ahvainen, who now is the Chief Strategy Officer or Xtract, is there too on the jury. A very knowledgable group so you can trust good ideas will be noticed and recognized). And it has nice prizes too. Check it out..
