Flashmobbing April Fool style in Beijing

CNN just aired a segment discussing the April's Fool joke in Beijing done through flash mobbing. Suddenly in various parts of Beijing, gangs of people would just stop and freeze their movements. They stayed in those poses for a little while - large groups of people just momentarily immobile - and causing hte passers-by to be quite puzzled. Are these people or very realistic statues. Cool use of flashmobbing, and great April's Fool joke.

Yep, freezing movement is a great flashmob idea - Frozen Grand Central was the best example ever of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwMj3PJDxuo

It was also, AFAIK, the one that started this flashmob trend that's now being copied all over the world, including Helsinki: http://www.groundswell.fi/sim/2008/03/20/helsinki-freeze/
