The Financial Times says
The race for the number one position in the Christmas charts will be determined for the first time by what iPod owners download via their computers as the record industry predicts it will sell a million downloads in the next week.
24 million legal downloads this year including RickyGervais and David Cameron (OhMyGod has the Tories moved into the 21st Century?) And whats this thing about Boris watch? OK OK I know its tangential but it is Christmas.... nearly
How times have changed - when we would wait for it... ahemm.. 'Queue' to buy our Christmas singles, albums.
Now we download or will be sending iPod vouchers. And remember James Blunt released his latest video via the mobile phone first
Lets just pray the iPod downloaders have more taste than what normally makes it to number one. We need a Room 101 for the christmas novelty song.
Merry Chrimbo :-)
