To all of my followers, if you wanted to come and see me, I will be doing a series of events in Europe in the middle of January. If you live in Europe, I will be near you on this trip.
On Monday 18 January I will be visiting with my friends in Slovenia and doing Mobile Monday in Ljubljana. Slovenia is an easy drive from Croatia or Northern Italy or Austria or a quick train ride. Friends from Switzerland to Montenegro and Greece should considering taking the short hop on the plane and come visit us. The MoMo Slovenia event is at this link. Smile its Mobile Monday!
Next I am speaking on Thursday 21 in London at the FIFA 2010 Tournament conference focusing on how to use mobile marketing and advertising in sporting, and in particular as the FIFA 2010 tournament in South Africa this summer is going to become the biggest event ever to showcase excellence in various mobile marketing and advertising campaigns for a wide range of reasons not the least of which, South Africa itself is very advanced in mobile marketing and advertising, so the local talent will be using this as a case to show their best creativity using the 7th mass media channel.
At the FIFA 2010 event on Thursday in London we have a superb lineup of just about the who's who of mobile marketing and advertising with very many people who all by themselves are magnificent speakers and worth your plane ticket. On any one day I would rate each of these speakers literally the best speaker of the event - Jonathan MacDonald, Russell Buckley (of Admob and the Chairman of the Mobile Marketing Assoc), Mark Curtis (CEO of Flirtomatic). The event is truly littered with top talent including some of the hottest companies currently in mobile such as Layar (Claire Boonstra will speak) and the magnificent Fjord will send their guys from Spain to present (Andy Goodman and Jesus Gorriti). My dear friends like James Parton (O2), Dan Rosen (AKQA), Tom Bowman (BBC) and the author David Cushman formerly of Emap add excellence to this unbelievable one-day event. If you want to see the very best in innovation and creativity in mobile advertising and marketing, with a focus on sporting events - this is the 'can't miss' event. Best of all, for readers of our blog, we can offer you a 40% discount if you use the code 'tomic0d3'. See the full agenda and sign up at this link to FIFA 2010 conference in London.
And as that covers Central Europe and Western Europe - so London based friends can take tube to the event, other UK based friends can drive or take train; French and Belgian friends can take the Eurostar train; Irish, Dutch, German, Spanish and Portuguese friends can fly to the event. It is totally worth coming to.
And as to my friends in Northern Europe? Well, fans in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and Finland should consider a short hop to Oslo to join us at MoMo Norway. Mobile Monday out of Oslo has put up an impressive lineup of speakers for Monday 25 January, with my dear friend and publisher of several of my books, Ajit Jaokar, joining our good friends Martin Sauter of Wireless Moves and Andrew Grill of London Calling; as well as several Norwegian speakers. Its a rare visit to Scandinavia for me, so please if you are in Northern Europe, do take the opportunity and come on over to take in the event at this link to MoMoNo. Smile, its Mobile Monday!
If you have one of my books, please bring it over and I will be most happy to autograph it for you. And even if you dont' have a book, if you are a reader of this blog - PLEASE come say hello to me if you see me speaking anywhere, at one of these 3 events in Slovenia, London or Oslo; or at any other event. Come to me after the presentation like at the next break, and say 'I am one of the readers on your blog' - I will WANT to meet you and find out what you do in your life, and how we can help you via this blog. Please come and say hello.
Finally a comment - that video of me at Picnic is just about to pass 10,000 viewings. I am flabbergastered. Who are these people watching that video. I am humbled and most grateful. So many have commented on Twitter and sent me private emails congratulating me on that video saying it is compelling, full of evidence, yet entertaining. Thank you so much.
