At Mobinet there was an interesting presentation on "where are the users?" It seems that symbian is still a clunky operating system, whereas the Apple iPhone is designed for superior useability.

Also that customers perceive data useage to be expensive and are wary. People try the mobile INternet once but don;t return. That has got to be based upon user experience. Hence Christian Lindholm's fascination with useage, how you use, what you use and why?

The view also shared was that services for mass niche communities of interest, are lacking and that marketing has not bridged the divide between making people be aware that the mobile INternet may not cost then their homes.

But I have watched people use the iPhone - it sets a completely new agenda for the mobile experience. Even if the core competency of mobile telecoms is inferior.
