M7MM – A thank you to you all

I believe that I live within a network. One that grows and ebb and flows daily.

My belief in the network has been reinforced by the quite extraordinary response to our whitepaper on Mobile as the 7th Mass Media.

From Bejing to Baltimore, India to Nigeria, Australia to Singapore and beyond.

What has touched me deeply is the kind words that many of you have offered for the value in our book and our blog Communities Dominate Brands.

When Tomi and I wrote the book and started the blog we began with a belief not a 5 year plan. And a desire to communicate that knowledge and insight to the world.

There are of course many that prefer not to believe in the power of the network and connected communities, there are those that deny that the world of the mass media is over and that we now live in an interconnected world of mass niche communities of interest.

There are those that do not belive in the fact that business and marketing, knowledge and information creation and exchange are going through a reformation.

And that's fine. There are those that steal our ideas, well that's the greatest form of flattery I know.

So to you all – I thank you for saying that our writing has be "inspirational" or, "insightful" or has helped with a PHD or a thinking about a new business model.

Please keep reading and join in the conversation, it is through converation that we all learn more about the world we live in. And, remember if you want the whitepaper pleae email me

Not wishing to dilute the conversation... but in the spirit of extending the reach of the network... I just set up a group for people who've read CDB on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2435271707
It would be great if you and Tomi joined! Best dc

I blogged about why I've set up a CDB Facebook group here: http://fasterfuture.blogspot.com/2007/07/communities-dominate-facebook.html

Hi David

Wow, thank you. Thats amazing (and like you know so well, David, it is another "communities dominate" example possible only now or very recently). Of course we'll join. I'm coming right now to sign up... :-)

Tomi :-)
