David Cushman

Hi Tomi,
I think I first heard about this via Wirelesswatch at the start of the year. Got me excited enough to blog about at the time - and the potential implications for printed media: http://fasterfuture.blogspot.com/2007/01/leave-me-alone-im-reading-my-phone.html

What I do recall is from that is that there are now mobile novelists in Japan who work by text-typing on their mobile because they can do it FASTER than typing on a qwerty keyboard.

Reminded me of a conversation I had with a colleague when I was first raving about mobile internet. At that time I posted:
"Someone asked me this morning how much hassle it was having to text-type in all your usernames and passwords etc. Made me wonder how many people 'typed' before they were forced to do so by the desirability of accessing content on the internet via a pc. People seem ever adaptable - provided the end result is what they want,"

I would be more than happy to hear that books will become a part of our everyday life, as much as TV media does.
