Thoroughly enjoyed reading that exchange. My view, of course, is that Tomi lost, but Tomi and I have had that argument before and Tomi's 'not for turning'.
I'd put bets on Google stepping up to the plate. Oh, and by the way, LG already announced their UMA phone, the CL400.

If the mobile operators are smart enough, UMA will allow them to own the hybrid market and limit the erosion of pricing by offering a combined solution.
This may only be a temporary fix as better technologies mean that GSM/3G become 'just another network'. But as Tomi says, people are lazy and once the technology is there, it's just an underlying network upgrade.
My question is how long are companies like Google, Yahoo and MS going to sit around and let MOs own the customer, looks to me like it wouldn't be that hard to take them away.
I posted some stuff about how UMA is the operators friend at produktiv.com/pj/ramble.html

Jets that use air to create the Spa effect there is no such thing as stagnant blood; rather it is blood which is circulating slowly and not circulating as fast as it should? You hot tub headrest should carry out a proper earth and all this means is that we have not found the fault we have just merely cheated by unhooking the earth.

Buying locally also makes the delivery and the installation can occur safely, and that the heater is reliable as well.
